Soccer Academy 2024 Fan Tour

The 2024 Fan Tour is out and we have a truly unique experience for you! 

Our 2024 Fan Tour will take place in the Germany. Games will include Bundesliga games - VfL Wolfsburg v Borussia Dortmund and FC Augsburg v SC Freiburg

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Schedule (subject to change)

Saturday February 17th

Arrive at hotel in Berlin - IntercityHotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Katharina Paulus Strasse 5, Berlin, BE, 10557 Germany

Train to Volkswagen Arena, the home of VfL Wolfsburg. Kick off 3.30pm local time - Bundesliga Match between VfL Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund Dortmund missed out on the Championship on the final day of the season and will be hoping to go one better this season! The game against Wolfsburg will be a tough one as they finished 8th, just missing out on European qualification. Dortmund boast a number of world class players including World Cup Winner Marco Reus.

Monday February 19th

Hop on Hop off Bus Tour of Berlin - marvel at the famous Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, Berlin Palace, and the East Side Gallery. 

Tuesday February 20th 

Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial Tour - the former concentration camp Sachsenhausen was the first purposely built camp to be established as a center for terror, fear, persecution, torture, experimentation and murder. Your expert, licensed guide will accompany you through the former prison/punishment cells, infirmaries, barracks, gas chamber and crematoria. Learn stories of valor and solidarity among the inmates in the face of an almost hopeless situation.

10.00am - Meeting point: outside FRIEDRICHSTRASSE TRAIN STATION, on the square beside the 'Traenenpalast' (Palace of Tears), Reichstagufer 17, 10117 Berlin

Your guide will be wearing a yellow name tag holding a yellow umbrella for easy recognition.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the designated start time. Gratuities are not included

Return by 4pm. 

Wednesday February 21st

Bus to Munich and check into hotel. Eurostars Book Hotel, Schwanthalerstrasse 44, Munich, BY, 80336. 

Bus leaves at 9.00am so should arrive late afternoon in Munich - plenty of time for an evening stroll and dinner! We will have our group dinner at 7.30pm at Münchner Stubn, Bayerstraße 35, 80335 München. 

Thursday February 22nd

Day Trip to Neuschwanstein

One of the most photographed buildings in the world, Neuschwanstein Castle towers majestically on a rugged hill, like a fairy tale come to life. Beat the long visitor queues, take a glimpse at the private chambers, and marvel at splendid views while accompanied by an expert guide.

Meet your guide at Munich central station and start your journey. High above the medieval roofs stands an incredible sight: the ethereal former personal refuge of Bavaria's King Ludwig II. This graceful structure is among the best-known on earth. It even inspired Disney's Sleeping Beautycastle.

Your guide walks with you uphill to the castle's lofty perch. Roam the surroundings, where jaw-dropping views take your breath away. See the opulent Hohenschwangau Castle on top of a neighboring hill, right behind a waterfall gorge and the bridge spanning over it—a truly mesmerizing sight.

Opt for an internal tour of Neuschwanstein to skip the long lines and hear about the often turbulent reign of Ludwig II, as you wander through elegant halls and intimate private chambers.

9.15am - Meet at the Radius Tours office, located at Dachauer Straße 4, 80335 Munich. Please be there 15 minutes prior to tour departure (9.00am)

Return by 7.15pm

 

Friday February 23rd

Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich - Take a 5-hour tour to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, a place of reflection and education dedicated to the estimated 42,000 prisoners that lost their lives there. Take the train from Munich towards Dachau, which is located 10 miles outside of Munich and only a short journey away.

8.50am - Meet at Marienplatz München: 8 Marienplatz, München, Bayern, 80331, Germany. Meet in front of tourist information. Our guide will be waiting for us. 

PLEASE NOTE CHILDREN UNDER 14 ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE TOURS.

Saturday February 24th

Munich: Hop-On Hop-Off Tour - Packed full of cultural and historical sites, enjoy the convenience of discovering Munich at your own pace with a hop-on hop-off tour. Circle the city center aboard a double-decker bus, hearing informative descriptions of the important landmarks from the audio guide as you go.

Sunday February 25th

Travel to Augsburg Arena also known as WWK Arena for the Bundesliga Match between FC Augsburg and SC Freiburg - kick off 7.30pm local time. Freiburg finished 5th in last year's Bundesliga and qualified for the Europa League, missing out on a Champions League spot by three points! 

Monday February 26th 

Check out of hotel and head back to USA!
